Winter News

Brrrr! It’s freezing this week. I’m hoping for a little bit of snow to bring some cheer. Well, let’s face it, kids love the snow. Sleighing into Winter there are a few workshops and events that you and your family could join in this Winter all with a Wintery theme!

The last Little Swifts craft session of the year at the RAF Museum, Walthamstow Toy Library has a Christmas grotto, Christmas party and of course play sessions til December 23rd, then back again 5th January. Mini Morris in December will have fun and frolics on a seasonal theme too. Natural Voices choir have yuletide songs locally at the William Morris Gallery and Walthamstow Trades Hall.


29th November

Our big fundraiser event towards renovating the adventure playground!

Drop in event. Last admission 4.30 pm.
£8 to visit the grotto and play, or £5 to come in and play only.
A bouncy castle ( a fee for duration of bouncing).

Lots of fun for children up to 8 years old. There’s a market with sustainable and or ethical gifts. See WTL Instagram for updates about the whole event.

27th November

27th November the Winter Late is at The William Morris Gallery. Featuring the Natural Voices choir. Stalls, xmas tree light up, crafts and seasonal treats in Deeneys cafe.


9th December

Little Swifts. Free craft session for 2 to 5 year olds at The RAF museum, booking will open 1 week before the workshop. This month’s theme is about weather, with storytime, playful activities, a dreamy craft to take home and song.

18th December

Mini Morris: Recycled christmas tree craft. Let’s make some festive cheer with all our left over bits and pieces.
Just the kind of sustainable beauty William Morris would have admired.

Free craft workshop for 2 to 5 year olds at The William Morris Gallery. Drop in, two sessions available the 11.45 to 12.45 is a recommended time slot.
