Scribble and Smudge events and things to do over the holiday.
Summer is here, fingers crossed the weather will keep up, because August is an exciting time to be out and about locally and around London. Here are the Scribble and Smudge workshops:
Two festival workshops coming up this month, the first locally at The Mill, a children’s workshop for over 6’s and a street party at Smithfield Market for the London Museum.
8th August 2.00 pm til 4.30 at The Mill. Free Mask making, birds and butterflies for the Grandad’s Island procession 1st September. This is part of a series of workshops whereby you can make other animals, hats and foliage to parade with Grandad’s boat that fellow Scribble and Smudger Vanessa had made at The Walthamstow Garden Party this year. Details in events above.
25th August, 11.00 a.m til 6pm at Smithfield Market. Free, wing costume making to be part of the Grand Avenue aerial displays and processions. This festival is part of the Culture Mile bank holiday festivities. Inspired by the original Bartholomew’s Fair and the Museum of London and Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s Beasts of London experience, Smithfield Street Party invites all of London’s families, including their four legged canine members, to come and take part in a day full of free beastly fun.
