We will be shaping it up, exploring different shapes with games and songs and celebrating the wonderful circle. A free workshop for families with children 2 to 5 years old. The craft reflects the RAF insignia of the roundel, which can be found on many items in the museum. Early years exploration of what is round and an appreciation of shapes in every day objects.
Session starts at 10.30 and finishes at 11.30 Thursday 25th June.
Booking is essential. (Tickets will be available to book from 9.30am on Thursday 18 June)
Help keep the workshops free by giving a donation: https://tickets.rafmuseum.org.uk/event-tickets/53162?branches.branchID=2042
The roundel has been used in popular culture too, see artist @peterblake and his pop artwork “Sources of pop art 7”. Also in the mod subculture. of the 1960’s. Which is a lovely aside to use the iconic roundel symbol as inspiration for a craft.
Avro 504K
