‘Raise the roof’ is a whole day event this Sunday For the ROH family Sunday. A day full of activities, Including our workshop making waistcoats in the Crush room,

Come and make a paper conductor’s waistcoat, it’s amazing what you can do with a paper bag. You can create a waistcoat and tails or jazz it up for a festive look. It’s up to you !

Two fantastic interactive waistcoat wearing opportunities:

  • Wear your majestic waistcoat and learn to conduct with a musical quartet from the @rcmlondon. Guidance from music director Yshani Perinpanayagam in Linbury Foyer | 11.20am–12.05pm | 1.55–2.40pm


wear your festive waistcoat and hold onto your hats as award-winning brass quartet Bella Tromba perform and run an interactive session. Linbury Foyer | 10.45–11.15am then, Paul Hamlyn Hall | 11.50am–12.35pm.

‘Join us at the Royal Opera House as we throw our doors wide open to families of all ages and celebrate the opening of our new Season.

The building is bursting with drama, dance, voice-raising and craft-making! Raise the Roof is a day for one and all to shake, shimmy and sing as our Season’s stories spill from our stages and into our Front of House spaces. Expect a warm welcome and a fun-filled day exploring the best of ballet, opera and making at the Royal Opera House.’
