Everyone's a spinner baby

Spin the decks and make an album cover like 60’s pop artist Peter Blake. Spinning, swirling patterns to be made on our spinning machine and designed with a collage of POP imagery.

A fun, free workshop for all ages. All children must be accompanied.

We will be near the William Morris garden, behind the William Morris Gallery.

Our love of vinyl is shared at this years most spectacular local festival, The Walthamstow Garden Party 2017. Our workshop will be part of the Be Magnificent art trail, in conjunction with The exhibition at The William Morris Gallery.  The exhibition tells the story of those who studied and taught in the  Walthamstow arts school during the 1960's. The art school produced leading names in fashion, film and art. Peter Blake taught at the Art school among them being Ian Drury and Peter Greenway. Everyone' s a spinner celebrates Peter Blake's acclaimed album art work, which includes Sgt pepper's Lonely Hearts Band, Band aid, Paul Weller's and The WHO album covers.

Vinyl is undoubtedly an important part of youth culture of the yesteryears and today. We hope our love of vinyl is infectious! Come and join us.
